One Full Year of TEA!

Can you believe it? A full year (or cup I should say) of The TEA Proposal?

We (The TEA Team) are certainly very excited about it! It is crazy to think that a simple phone conversation between SuetMui and I has turned into a larger substantial thing that can have an impact on many lives. (pssst, you can learn more about how we came up with the idea for TEA here!)

This past year, our Team has focused on building the foundation of this organization and establishing connections to other organizations, people, schools, and YOU. TEA was built with the intention of serving your needs and the community's needs–we prioritized this principle in every single action, discussion, and plan we had this year and we will continue to prioritize that principle in the coming years. If you would like us to take your personal interests into account better, please fill out the Student Interest Survey! This survey is anonymous and we will use your needs to direct our future courses of action and opportunities that we offer.

Additionally, we organized and successfully held our first internship! Thank you so much to Dr. Melville Wohlgemuth for being so gracious and hosting a TEA Proposal intern in his lab, the Batlab, for the past two months! This internship was a wonderful milestone in The TEA Proposal’s journey and we have had a lot of fun going through the initial organization process, the intern selection, and the internship experience. Not only have we learned a lot, but we have a lot more in store for next year so please stay tuned! Finally, but most importantly, thank you to everyone who has supported us, everyone who has had confidence in us, and to everyone who believed in us–we couldn’t have made it this far without YOU! But seriously, your support and trust mean the world to us. And we are and will be always committed to you and our community. We can’t wait to unveil what we have planned for next year and we hope you will enjoy :)
