Hello there!

I'm Juan Lopez, and I'm a first-generation graduate student who is proud to be a part of the TEA Proposal. I first learned about the TEA Proposal from my College and career counselor during my Junior year when I was trying to find ways to learn about law. My college and career counselor asked me if I would be interested in signing up for a Law Shadowing event. When I signed up for the Law Shadowing event, I was able to learn about the U of A College of Law and what skills, classes, and experiences it takes to become a law student. I also learned of some of the challenges that students face when studying law and what classes they recommended I take certain classes earlier so I won't struggle later on in life when studying law. The law shadowing event also gave me the opportunity to make connections with other students who are interested in studying law as well, and to this day, I still keep in contact with those who attend this event. When I applied to become a teen ambassador for the TEA Proposal, I felt very happy to know that their mission is to give students of all different backgrounds opportunities to succeed in life. I want to give others the same opportunities that the TEA Proposal gave me that helped me get to where I am today.

I'm proud to be part of an organization that wants everyone to be included and has amazing opportunities for everyone.
