Our Mission

Our Aim

Our goal is to connect highly motivated high school students to opportunities that they can utilize. We understand that sometimes all a student may need is a chance to demonstrate their abilities and skills or an experience that would serve as a gateway for future opportunities. We acknowledge that it can be difficult for high school students of low socioeconomic status to receive such an opportunity as they may face barriers due to limited access to resources. Hence, we are here to provide connections, resources, and support so that every student has an equal chance to dream big, follow their passion, and put ideas into action. Although The TEA Proposal welcomes any high school student who is interested in the resources we offer, our resources are most likely to benefit students who are of low socioeconomic status.

Our Story

We remember how hard it was to gain access to opportunities as high school students. Many programs and organizations require applicants to have prior meaningful experiences to be viewed as a competitive applicant or even qualify for the opportunity. In other words, a high school student often needs to have experiences in the first place in order to get more experience. Obtaining internships, shadowing opportunities, research experience, and volunteering work may be especially difficult for students of low socioeconomic status who do not have as many connections to resources. We are committed to addressing this problem by creating a platform where we can assist high school students in their search for useful and meaningful opportunities.
